Melbourne, being a centre for multicultural communities with Indian and other migrants from around the world, is home to a number of temples and shrines. However, many devotees and followers found it difficult to visit their temple regularly due to distance or lack of transportation.

To address this need, a dedicated temple for the Sanatan Dharma was established in Melbourne — a place of worship for multiple deities, allowing followers from diverse cultural backgrounds to offer prayers and seek blessings. Guru Maharaj Ji (Pujya Swami Bhagat Prakash Ji Maharaj) of the Prem Prakash Panth has been making regular visits to Australia since 2008, showering blessings upon all devotees and followers.
